I use further maths every day on my engineering degree, so I can show your child where these ideas actually lead. We work through real exam questions until the methods feel like second nature.
Real progress from my maths students.
An A-Level Maths student I tutored improved from a D at AS to an A at A2 in a single year.
Thank you very much for tutoring her, she's come a long way from when you took on the role and her confidence has built over time.
These are the questions parents usually ask before we start.
I cover the Core Pure content in full: complex numbers, matrices, further calculus, further vectors, polar coordinates, hyperbolic functions and differential equations. On top of that come whichever optional modules your child's school has chosen, whether that's Further Mechanics, Further Statistics or Decision Maths.
Further Maths is demanding, but it's very learnable with the right support. I break the harder ideas like complex numbers and matrices into steps that make sense, so your child can aim for the top grades they need for competitive university courses.
I tutor Further Maths across AQA, Edexcel and OCR (including OCR MEI). Every session follows your child's exact specification and the optional modules their school sits.
Yes, completely. There's no commitment either. We look at the topics your child finds hardest and decide together whether it's a good fit before anything further is booked.
Sessions are £40 per hour, paid session by session. There's no contract and no joining fee, and if something comes up you can message me before the lesson and we'll move it to another slot.
