Before booking, most parents want to know the same handful of things: how online lessons work, which exam boards I cover, what the free first session involves, and how payment works. It's all answered below.

How and where do the lessons take place?
Everything happens online over Zoom. Using a shared interactive whiteboard, your child and I work through problems together in real time, so it feels like sitting side by side at the kitchen table without anyone leaving home.
What equipment does my child need for online lessons?
Very little, and nothing you'd need to buy specially. A laptop or tablet with a camera, an ordinary home internet connection and a free Zoom account cover it. A mouse or a basic stylus can make the shared whiteboard easier to write on, though plenty of my students manage happily without one. And if you're unsure whether your setup will cope, we'll simply test it together at the start of the free first session.
Will my child get homework, and how will I know how they're doing?
Yes. After each session I set homework to consolidate what we've covered, and I'll send you a short progress update as well, so you always know how your child is getting on and what we're working towards.
What does the free first session involve?
It's completely free, and there's no commitment attached. We'll get to know each other, talk through your child's goals and any topics causing trouble, and decide together whether it's a good fit before anything else is booked.
Which exam boards and subjects do you cover?
I cover GCSE Maths and Physics, along with A-Level Maths and Further Maths, across AQA, Edexcel and OCR. Whatever your child is sitting, lessons are tailored to their exact specification and exam board.
How does payment work?
Sessions are paid by the hour at the rates listed above. There's no contract and no joining fee. Should something come up, just message me before the lesson and we'll move it to another slot.
